Austria

Last Saturday we took a day trip to Austria. We left our house around 8am and crossed in Austria 2 hours later. We had to stop as soon as we crossed to purchase a vignette, a sticker you have to have on your windshield to drive through Austria. Not even a mile after we left the place where we purchased the vignette, we were detoured off of the autostrada. They were basically checking for vignettes. We had another 2 hour drive (which should have only been an hour and a half but we hit traffic) to get to Salzburg.

We arrived in Salzburg around lunch time. We parked right by Mirabell Gardens so we started there first. We walked through the gardens and had lunch there. If you don't know anything about Mirabell Gardens, ughh I can't even describe how beautiful it is! Part of Do-Re-Mi from the Sound of Music was filmed here.

We walked through Salzburg, stopping at Mozart's residence. We walked through all the little streets and looked at all the churches. We happened to run into a cute little market. We made our way up a massive hill to Hohensalzburg Castle. We were pretty pooped after that because it is def NOT stroller friendly, so we headed back down through Salzburg and to the car. We spent about 4 hours just walking around. It only took us a little over 3 hours to get home. Rosalie was a trooper! She did so good and was very well behaved on the ride to and from! Austria is the SIXTH country Rosalie has been to!

I took 100+ pictures, so instead of uploading them here, I'll just post my photobook I made! Oh how I love photobooks!
