I've really been getting back into reading lately.. and I imagine once Kevin has left for his deployment, I'll find myself reading even more. I thought I would share everything that I have read so far in 2011 and right now I'm working on my MUST read list or planning to read list.. a little input would be nice!
2011 already read list: -->and I must add, I have LOVED everything I have read so far.
~The House of Night Series 1-4.. Marked, Betrayed, Chosen, Untamed. I'm absolutely ADDICTED to this series. I have 5-8 ordered since the BX doesn't have the rest of the series.. they seriously can't get here fast enough.
~Life Laughs, by Jenny McCarthy... As with all Jenny books, she can be kind of, okay not kind of, but really.. crude. lol... If you get offended easily, then I wouldn't even bother picking this one or the next book up. lol. I am a HUGE fan of her books hahah
~Love, Lust, and Faking it, by Jenny McCarthy
~Safe Haven, by Nicholas Sparks.. one of my favorite authors!
~The Last Song, by Nicholas Sparks
MUST READ/PLANNING ON READING LIST!
~The House of Night Series 5-8.. They CANNOT get here fast enough!
~The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner, by Stephenie Meyer.. it's a Twilight Novella.. I'm pretty excited to start it... it's already on my book shelf!
~The Blindside.. by Michael Lewis.. this is also on my shelf
~The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets Nest, by Stieg Larsson.. this is also on my shelf, but i didn't realize it was the LAST in the series. boo.
~The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, by Stieg Larsson
~The Girl who Played with Fire, by Stieg Larsson
~PS I love you, by Cecelia Ahern
~The Hunger Games Series, by Suzanne Collins
~The Lucky One, by Nicholas Sparks
~The Choice, by Nicholas Sparks
~Message in a Bottle, by Nicholas Sparks
Okay I want some input.. what are your favorite books and what do you recommend!!?! I'll be lucky if my list of books lasts me a month! lol!
Charlie St. Cloud.
ReplyDeleteAnything by Jodi Picoult- or at least the ones I have read.. My Sister's Keeper (book ending so different from movie), The Pact, and Nineteen Minutes. I have Perfect Match but have not read it yet.
I just started a type of book that I never in a million years thought I would read and like. But Emily Giffin has 3 books that go together...I am reading Something Borrowed and so far, I really like it!
I have some of these if you want to borrow any. Also, I like James Patterson and have some of his books as well and I have most of Dorothea Benton Frank books which I love if you want any of those. However, they all take place in areas around Charleston so that might have a lot to do with why I love them so!
Thanks! I've noticed just about all of Nicholas Sparks books take place in NC and i think that's why i'm so drawn to them... OBX is probably one of my favorite places in the world lol
ReplyDeleteI have all the Nicholas Sparks books you want to read. He is my favorite as well. Glad you are liking the House of Night, I would feel bad if you didn't like them and I recommended them. I still have to order the 8th book from Amazon. I need to start reading again, I go through patches were I will do nothing but read, then I stop. I have all the true blood series, trying to get into those. I watch the show, so what I've been reading is stuff I already know.
ReplyDeleteI just ordered 5-8 from barnes and noble.. i got 3 of them in hardback and it only came to like $40 and I got free shipping.. not bad at all for hardback books! When I go home I'm going to hit up b&n heavily lol.. our book selection here stinks and i'm weird and don't like to get library books because i like that fresh, new book feeling lol
ReplyDeleteHey! I saw your blog listed on Doris' blog that I follow. Thought I'd leave a comment on a few books I've read if that's alright.
ReplyDeleteI'm just now reading the Sookie Stackhouse series. I also just got Kelly Cutrone's book "If You Have To Cry Go Outside and Other Things Your Mother Never Told You." She's pretty blunt in it.
I just picked up reading books since we got here, not much else to do, haha, so my list of book reading is short. :) I've also read the Harry Potter series and Twilight series.
I loved HP and the Twilight Series. I finished the whole Twilight series in about a week. I read the HP books years ago when they first came out.. well 1-4 anyways... and then when the 7th final book came out I read 5,6 and 7. I think might go back and reread the series since it's been so long since I read 1-4
