Days 24, 25, and 26 of 30 Days of Me

I know that I'm TOTALLY behind.. we've been having a REALLY rough time with teething so cut me a break would ya ;) These are short answers since I have so much to catch up on.

Day 24- A letter to your parents

This was A LOT harder than I thought it was going to be... it's really hard to put into words how much love and respect I have for my parents... to show them that I really appreciate everything they have done for me through out my 23 years of existance. My parents are wonderful.. plain and simple.

To The Most Amazing People I know,
I could not have asked for better parents. All of my life you have been there to support me and love me no matter how wild and crazy I was. You gave me everything and the life that most people could only dream of. People always say they want to give their children the life they never had, but I want to make sure Rosalie has a life like the life I DID HAVE... from making sure that I had the best childhood sleepovers that everyone in the 3rd grade would talk about for weeks to having an amazing support team behind me. No matter how many times I fell, you were there to pick me up.. no matter how many times I was close to the edge, you were there to pull me back... no matter how many times I broke, you were there to pick up the pieces. Even at the age of 23, I still come to you for advice because I consider you to be the wisest people I know. I truly appreciate everything you have ever done for me. I hope that I can be the parent that you have been. I love you!
Love,
Your Little Princess :)

Day 25- What I would find in your bag

Since I became a mommy... my purse went out the window and turned into a diaper bag. No point in carry a diaper bag, a purse, and a 25lb baby. Hey, at least it's designer.. it's a Vera :) hahah.
Of course you will find all of the baby essentials... diapers, wipes, changing pad, powder, diaper sacks.. a bottle of water, a lock and lock full of hull-less popcorn and a lock and lock full of puffs. and of course toys.. inside my diaper bag you will find a little Dooney and Bourke wristlet that carries all of MY essentials.. my money, credit cards, US drivers license, Italian drivers license, and 2 lip glosses.... you will also find ANOTHER Coach wristlet that I use solely to carry my Euro. I hate getting my Euro mixed with my US money.

Day 26- What you think about your friends

They are awesome, that's why they are my friends! I can ALWAYS be myself around them and have so many unforgettable memories with them. I could ramble all day about my friends and the crazy things we've done.. but it wouldn't make any sense to the person reading it... so i'll withhold on the reminiscing. Living across the world from my friends means we don't get to talk as often because of the time change, but when we do get to talk it's like we just talked yesterday. They have always been there for me and I hate being this far from them. I love that Kayla and I are e-mailing each other a few times on a daily basis telling each other EVERY moment of our days cause it makes me feel like I'm still near my loves. Kay, KT, and Abb.. Love you guys so much!

Rosalie Maggie Turns 1.

I know it's a week on Rosalie's birthday update. I've been waiting on getting her height and weight and it would seem like every night it would slip our minds.

It's hard to believe that's it been a year already since this little girl came into our lives.. 1 year since God gave us the best gift he could ever give us. I can't imagine her not being in our lives.. she's the center of our world and our pride and joy.

ROSALIE MAGGIE

1 YEAR

Height: 29 1/2 inches.. same height as last month
Weight: 25 lbs 3 oz.. almost a pound increase since last month.
Diaper Size: 5
Clothing Size: 12-18 months; 18 months
Shoe Size: 4, 4 1/2

Teeth: Still only 8.. but one of her cuspids has been trying to break through the past few days.. we can see it and she is absolutely miserable.. up crying all night... but it just won't break.

Mobility: Rosalie is pretty much running. She is extremely steady on her legs.. she should be though, she's been walking for 3 months now. lol.. she does not crawl at all anymore.

Talking: Dada, Mama, Mom, Hey Dad, PapPap, Ba-ba, and her newest word she said yesterday, Nana.

Eating: Rosalie is completely off formula. She is drinking milk with no problem.. although we have to give it to her in a bottle to take her nap.. she still wants nothing to do with a sippy cup. She will drink from a regular glass when she has her breakfast. We figured we'd only make her sacrifice one thing at a time, and first it was the formula.. next will be the bottle. She loves apple juice, but through a juice box lol. She is barely eating any baby food now.. she eats toast for breakfast.. she hates eggs.. and we tried rice crispies and she really wants no part of them either. For lunch and dinner she usually has what we are having or chicken nuggets or french fries. She's still getting her bed time cereal with bananas.

Sleeping: As of right now, her sleeping sucks because of the new tooth coming in, but NORMALLY she goes to bed around 8 and sleeps til 4-5. She gets up and has some milk and goes back to bed until 7-8. If only we could get her to go to bed around 8 and sleep til 8! That would be nice! haha I know, keep dreaming.

I can't wait to see what the next year has in store for us!

Day 23 of 30 Days of Me

Day 23-
Something you crave for a lot

Caffeine. Without a doubt. Usually it's when Rosalie has bad nights.. I wake up thinking "I need caffeine to kickstart my day."

I really don't get food cravings (other than the United States things listed below.. which I can't exactly give into).. I did have food cravings when I was pregnant BIG TIME. One pregnant craving that I still have to this day is Subway.

I crave things I CAN'T have... things in the United States.. Walmart & Target.. a regular shopping mall where I don't even have to think about language barrier, the exchange rate, having enough Euro on me, or guessing on sizes.. Olive Garden house salad and black tie cheesecake.. mmmmm. Being able to walk into an American Eagle and TRY things on.. instead of shopping online..

Day 22 of 30 Days of Me

Day 22-
What makes you different from everyone else

One thing that make me different from other people is.. my OCD. I spend entirely TOO much of my time cleaning, organizing, rearranging, and reorganizing. I strive to make everything absolutely perfect and in my eyes it never is.. so I work and work and work and am never satisfied.

Another thing that makes me different from a lot of people my age.. I took responsibility for my child. My life DID change when I had Rosalie.. no more frivolous spending on myself.. no more partying.. no more coming and going as I please.. putting my child FIRST ALWAYS. Most people I know back home make a bunch of babies and pawn them off on their parents. If you have a child and pawn them off on a parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, ect, you can't call yourself a PARENT.. you can call yourself someone who gave birth to a child and that's it. If these kids had to actually raise these babies they make, they wouldn't be popping them out left and right.

Rosalie's Birthday.

I know I haven't posted anything about Rosalie's birthday or her party.. but I just haven't been in blogging mode. I was extremely busy all last week with getting ready for the party. Come Sunday, I was absolutely exhausted and had no motivation to do anything. On top of being tired, Rosalie has another tooth coming through and she's still a lil stuffy.

We'll start back to Rosalie's actual birthday. I took her to have lunch with her dad and he was excited to see the birthday girl. Then her and I did a lil shopping and then headed home to bake a cake. Rosalie got EXTREMELY sick that afternoon and was puking everything.. all the mucous was starting to drain into her stomach and it just didn't agree with her. About an hour after her dad got home she was feeling better.. so we let her have some cake.. and open some of her small presents.. then she got a bath... played.. and went to bed. Kevin let her stay up a lil later since it was her birthday :) haha

Rosalie's party turned out great! We had a lot of people show up.. almost everyone we invited.. I made TONS of food and then we ordered subway platters. We got the kids a bouncy castle and a piƱata. Rosalie was EXTREMELY grouchy when her party first started.. she was being all emotional and wouldn't let me put her down. Kevin decided to make her take a nap. After she took a nap she was totally fine. We laid down a table cloth in the middle of the livingroom for her to do her smash cake after we sang to her. She was a mess.. covered from head to toe. After she got cleaned up she did presents. Around 5:30 everyone started clearing out. Our friends Meghan and Derek stayed so the boys could play Wii afterwards. haha. Rosalie was so wired from her party that she didn't go to bed until TEN. TWO hours after her bedtime.

I decided instead of posting a bunch of pics, I'm going to post the shutterfly photobook I made. It has all the pictures starting from the professional pics, to her birthday pics, to party pics.

Days 20 and 21 of Me

I know I'm totally slacking... lol

Day 20-
Someone you see yourself marrying/being with in the future or about your spouse.
Wellllll, I am already married to the man I plan on spending the rest of my life wife.. Kevin Paul. We have been together since 2005 and married in 2008. He is in the Air Force and I gave up everything to move across the world to be with him. Now that's love :). We have a beautiful daughter together. I see sooo much of her father in her!

Day 21-
A picture of something that makes you happy
That's an easy one.. my family!

Days 18 and 19 of 30 Days of Me

Due to Rosalie's birthday party yesterday, I missed... so I'm playing catch up.

Day 18-
Plans/dreams/goals you have
Before Rosalie came into my life, I dreamed.. scratch that.. PLANNED on going back to school to be a doctor.. either sports medicine or an orthopedic surgeon. I love bones.... and I wanted to cut so bad. Now that Rosalie is here, I don't think I'll ever fulfill that dream only because I wouldn't want to spend that much time away from her. It's hard to be a doctor and a very family oriented person.. so it looks like I'm going to stay in imaging the rest of my life.. I'd like to further my education in CT even more and maybe study a new modality. I have all my life to make my way around the Radiology department.

I plan to be the best wife and mother for as long as I live.

I have goals of being old size again. Some day. It'll happen.

Day 19-
Nicknames you have; why do you have them

Mandee.. I've been called it since I was little but it wasn't until my early teen years I started spelling it the way I do.. it was all my aunt Tammy's doing.
Maude.. My moms friend has called me this ever since I was little and I have no clue why.
That's it.. I like to keep it simple. lol
